The Countdown is on: In May, the Red Bull Air Race World Championship will return to the picturesque Valdibora Bay of Rovinj, Croatia for another thrilling competition.
In 2014, the Red Bull Air Race landed in Rovinj and was seen as one of the most challenging and exciting races from the calendar due to the difficult and challenging winds. One year later, 14 of the best race pilots will return again to excite thousands of spectators and aviation fans from Europe and all over the world. Hannes Arch who finished in first place last year in Rovinj, will be looking to defend his title in the high-speed, low-altitude sport in front of fans from his hometown in Austria.
"I am looking forward to the race in Rovinj as I know lots of Austrian fans will come to watch. I also expect the race will be exciting as its spectacular to race here in the bay as you can feel the fans cheering as it’s so close, so it’s a perfect set-up", said Hannes at the press conference in Rovinj.
