The Red Bull Air Race season 2014 has come to an end and the winners have been crowned. Briton Nigel Lamb has flown to the top for the first time in his career and has left Hannes Arch and defending champion Paul Bonhomme behind in second respectively third place.

With top qualifying results and vociferous support by his fans, Hannes Arch flew two perfect first rounds but a mistake in the third flight diminished his hopes for the title. Coming fourth in the race in Spielberg made him Vice Champion for the third time in his career.

A big thank you goes out to all the fans that came to Spielberg and created an absolutely amazing atmosphere that is in a league of its own. Such tremendous support is a true inspiration for the coming season. “All my fans are really supportive, which leaves me feeling good. We are already motivated for next year,” says Arch.
