4th place in the qualification at the AR in London -
just fractions of a second behind 3rd place ranked superstar Paul Bonhomme
Hannes always announced that his tactic for his Rookie season is not to concentrate on the rankings, he said that he wants to concentrate on the technique to learn and improve and to slowly catch up with the best pilots. Looks like that his tactic works β slowly race by race he improved and got closer to the leading group like Besenyei, Mangold, Chambliss and Bonhomme. Today he had by far his best run ever in the race. β I was far behind in my training runs as I couldn't deal with the strong windy conditions the first training day. So I was going into today's race without any expectations β first warm up run was only here to take a safe run home to motivate myself β the second run and first qualification run was frustrating as I got a penalty without knowing where that happened β so I just concentrated on my second qualification run to bring home a fast clean run without any penalties. That it turned out to be a really fast one bringing me in fourth position is more than I can expect. I hope I can handle the pressure tomorrow at the elimination round β weβll see!
